Luis Novella, FIoD


Luis Novella is an experienced Director with background in energy and professional services at an international level. He is the Managing Partner at Vivat Group where he works as a catalyst for strategic business transformations. He has particular expertise in growing and managing businesses globally, leading and directing operations. He has managed the EMEA operations of several US technology companies over his 25+ year career. He has held senior leadership positions at KPMG, Accenture, The Hackett Group, and Areva. Luis has extensive experience in multiple industries and hands-on experience in the US, Europe, and Latin America. He has been a board member of several start-ups and is highly experienced in matters of international Corporate Governance. Luis was Chairman of The Institute of Directors in France for the maximum tenure of 6 years.

Nicholas Dimmock

Managing Director Solar 350 Ltd.

Nick has a BA Honours Degree in Business Science from University of the West of England and an MBA from CASS Business School. In 1993, Nick founded 21st Cellular Ltd, a mobile phone consultancy offering the 1st airtime contracts to split the 1st minute, to haulage contractors in Bristol and the surrounding regions. The business, with over 240 connections was sold to Martin Dawes Communications in 1995, which was then in turn taken over by Caudwell Communications Ltd. From 1996-2002, Nick worked as a Foreign Exchange Broker and subsequently as a stockbroker, finishing his stock broking career as an Institutional Equity Salesperson at Raymond James in 2002; a $2 Billion US Brokerage listed on the Nasdaq. In 2003, Nick co-founded Azure Films PLC which Executive Produced “Ae Fond Kiss” (Best Film-Berlin Film Festival), Keeping Mum (Best Comedy Screenplay-Aspen), Tales of the Riverbank (Stephen Fry, Ardol O’Hanlon, Steve Coogan, Jim Broadbent) and Sharpe’s Challenge (Sean Bean). Nick completed his Executive MBA at CASS Business School London in 2007 and sold out of the film business in 2007. Post MBA, Nick joined Tullet Prebon’s Emissions Trading Desk and founded Carbon 350 Ltd in November 2008 and Solar 350 Ltd in 2012.

Bill Goldie

Commercial Director & Head of Procurement and Mezzanine Finance

In 1994, Bill became the General Manager of Ingram Electronics (part of Beales Hunter Plc) and was responsible for setting up ‘mirror’ manufacturing sites in China for international manufacturing companies such as Motorola. In 1996 he was promoted to Managing Director and in 1998 the company was bought by Stadium PLC. In 1999, he was promoted to divisional MD running the Power and automotive facilities in the South of England and managing the Asia based supply chain and manufacturing partnerships. In 2002, he completed his MBA at Canterbury University and left Stadium to set up a company with his previous group Managing Director called Anglo China Strategies Ltd. From 2003 to 2010 his major focus was assisting UK company;  Retronix to set up electronic processing plants in Tianjin, Zhuhai and Shenzhen, along with assisting other companies in sourcing products and conducting business in China. From these experiences, Bill developed a team in China, which has enabled him to network to Board levels of most companies in China. Bill joined Carbon 350 in January 2010, bringing his China Team with him. In 2015, he joined Solar 350 as Head of Project Development, co-coordinating the development of Solar Projects with buyers and equipment providers around the world with specific focus on China.

Justin Passfield

Chief Financial Officer

A chartered accountant by background, Justin’s early career was with KPMG in both London and Hong Kong where he combined a varied audit client base, with a range of M&A and special situations work. Most of his career has been in large financial services institutions, including 5 years as FD of Barclays Private Bank, 6 years as UK CFO of ABN AMRO investment bank, and 3 years as Europe CFO of Alliance Bernstein; an asset manager headquartered in New York and listed on the NYSE. Since 2010, Justin’s interest in renewable energy has seen him arranging and structuring finance and refinance for large and small scale solar PV and wind projects, both in the UK and overseas.
